🌻Things You Shouldn’t take for Granted

We, humans, are a very wantful species. We want more. More money, more time, energy, friends, and shoes. Just more.

We take for granted all the things that we do have, or just complain about petty things, never really learning to appreciate just how privileged we are on so many levels.

When looking back at things I never really took the time to be grateful for the things I have and also for the things I don’t have. I would just complain about things I can’t control.

For example, any time I am doing some work on my laptop it always lagged and I ‘d get so furious.

Looking back I should have asked myself, “What about the people that don’t even have a laptop?”

What I am trying to say is that we should just be grateful for having the things we have and also the things we don’t have.

**So, here are 7 Things you shouldn’t take for Granted**

## **Your Future**

Why would you want to waste your future by being unproductive and blaming it on procrastination, and perfectionism? You shouldn’t allow anything to hinder you from your goals and what you want to accomplish in the future.

## **Access To Education**

We can learn anything online with websites like Youtube, Coursera, and so on. You may ask “Why is it important to have access to education?”

Education **develops critical thinking**. This is vital in teaching a person how to use logic when making decisions and interacting with people (e.g., boosting creativity, and enhancing time management). Education helps an individual meet basic job qualifications and makes them more likely to secure better jobs

## **Your Health**

It would be best if you ALWAYS took good care of yourself, cause why not.?Do not take advantage of the good health that you have, by eating junk food and just treating your body like a piece of sh*t.

If you go to some poor areas in Africa and just visit any local hospital, I promise you that your views about your health will change.

Take good care of your health by eating healthy foods, exercising, and self-care in general. You will thank me later.

## **The Things You Have**

Stop complaining and worrying about the things you don’t have and also the things that you do have. Do not presume anything you have.

There are people like you that don’t have access to water, food, electricity, WiFi, phone, clothes, or shelter, and you are here complaining about your coffee being not hot or you don’t know what you want to wear to that party.

Just don’t complain about little things like that. Always be grateful for the things you have and also the things you don’t have.

## **This is a challenge for you**

Write three things you are grateful for now and if you feel good afterward, then write them every day. It would only take like 5 minutes of your time. You will see the world from a different view.

## **Trust**

Building trust is one of the hardest things to build and the easiest thing to break. Trust is a vital component in happy and successful relationships. If you trust someone, you believe that they are honest and sincere and will not deliberately do anything to harm you and vice versa.

## **Your Relationships**

Having a good relationship with your family is vital. When last did you call your mum, dad, or siblings? You don’t want to regret not making an effort to reach out to them and have a really good time.

You don’t know what can happen. Your time on this earth is finite. So make an effort to mend relationships that are broken and try as much as possible to talk to your family every day. You will thank me later.

## **Conclusion**

There are a lot of things that we are taking for granted that we don’t even realize like waking up in the morning or having something to eat. In general, A**lways be Grateful**.
